What Tracking Statuses Mean

Label created, in transit, out for delivery, exception — translated into plain English.

Label created / Pre-shipment

The sender has printed a label and registered the number, but the carrier hasn't physically picked the parcel up yet. There's nothing to worry about — and nothing to track — until that first scan.

In transit / Accepted

The parcel is moving through the carrier network. You'll typically see scans at each sorting facility along the route.

Out for delivery

The parcel is on the delivery vehicle and should arrive that day. Time windows depend on the carrier and route.

Exception / Delay

Something unexpected happened: weather, wrong address, customs hold, missed delivery. Most exceptions clear automatically within 24–72 hours.

Delivered

The carrier marks the parcel as delivered, often with a location note (front porch, mailroom, neighbor). Photos are increasingly common.
