About the Due Date Calculator
Due dates are estimated three common ways. From LMP: add 280 days. From a known conception or ovulation date: add 266 days. From an IVF embryo transfer: add 266 days and subtract the embryo's age at transfer (3, 5, or 6 days).
All methods give an estimate, not a guarantee — only about 1 in 20 births happen exactly on the due date.
